Locations:
Beaches:
Clearwater Beach, St Pete Beach, & Fort Desoto (which is less busy) would be my best recommendations!
For parks &Other Pretty places:
-Ballast Point Park (You could pop the question on the pier)
-University of South Florida Botanical Gardens (Beautiful colors)
-Tampa River Walk (Views of the city and water)
-Rent a boat, or book a sunset cruise! (Beautiful place to pop the question)
If you are wanting to propose somewhere like the Sunken Gardens just be aware some locations require permits for professional photography, which will add a fee and must be booked in advance. If you are interested in somewhere that requires a permit or you are unsure I would be happy to book that for you and help figure out the details and what the cost would be!
What to bring:
Aside from the ring, there are a few other things you can bring to make the session run smoother!
If you know your lady & know that she would want to have her nails done for the shoot, I always recommend getting a pair of press on nails incase she doesn't have them done, or they are chipped. for close up ring shots a cute manicure can make the shot, you can buy them at Walgreens, target, etc. After the proposal she can stick them on for a few pictures!
If you know she would like to be in a specific outfit but you can't get her into it without her being suspicious I would recommend stashing one of her favorite outfits in the car so she could get some pictures in that after if you know she has a tendency to be picky about clothing!
Lastly I always think flowers are a nice touch, and they look great in pictures and are super sweet!
Other tips, tricks, and suggestions:
Clothing wise I always recommend solid colors for the men I shoot with. A black or white button up paired with jeans or dark dress pants will pretty much always look good on camera. Especially if your wife to be shows up to her proposal in a bright red dress or floral blouse, you will compliment her & your outfits will balance out if you are in solid more natural and neutral solid colors!
If you are needing any help figuring out what to do post proposal, lunch or dinner is always a great option! It's always nice if you can plan something like that after to celebrate with just the two of you or family and friends! If you need help finding somewhere to go and enjoy the day post proposal please feel free to reach out I can certainly help you find somewhere and make a reservation.
How will the proposal shoot actually work?
First steps are to email, text, or message me on instagram or messenger to book, nail down the date and time, and put down the $75.00 deposit to hold your spot. That's also a great time to ask any questions you may have for me!
When I'm shooting a proposal I will always arrive to the location 25-45 minutes early to scout out the best place to be at the location you are proposing. If you are there setting up and your fiancé is getting dropped off say by friends, etc, then I will meet with you and see if you have any preference for where you'd like me to be standing for the proposal, and just to make sure we are on the same page.
If you are arriving with your fiancé then the morning of it's best for you to send me your location via text so I can track where you are incase you're delayed and can't let me know that, and also so if you arrive early I am ready to go.
Additionally when booking I always ask that you send me a picture of what you and your soon to be fiancé look like, that way I know who I am looking for. When you arrive I will photograph the proposal and then hang around after to grab a few engagement shots. I usually have the photos back same day, but if not they will be sent back to you within 72 hours, and sneak peaks will be sent day of.
If you have any other questions about how the proposal will work feel free to message, call, or email me. My email address is Gr3celynne@gmail.com
How to Surprise my Fiancé??
Option A:
There are a few ways to get your fiancé to the location and surprise them! Option A would be to have there best friend invite them to lunch but instead the bring them to the proposal location. This is a great way to involve trusted friends or family in the proposal!
Option B:
Option B would be having me Dm them on social media offering a free photoshoot or discounted photoshoot and saying it's for my portfolio, now this wouldn't be a reach because I do dm people for portfolio work offering free or discounted shoots and very often that's for couples photography! There's also the option of having one of there friends Dm "recommend me to them for a shoot!
Option B.5:
Option B.5 involves you picking a location and time to propose, and me doing street photography wherever that's at, and stopping the both of you, pretending like I don't know you and asking if I can get you to pose for a photo, when you go to pose you end up on 1 knee ;)
Option C:
This option involves you and her going to do an activity, eat, etc, and when you arrive at the location we have discussed you pop the question to her. If there is another idea you have in mind or creative proposal technique please don't hesitate to let me know and we can certainly arrange a call to discuss it further.
