Locations:

There are so many fun places we can shoot couples photos! We can totally tailor the shoot around your interest, because you are investing in these photos and capturing memories and a moment and these are photos I want you to be able to cherish for ever.

Taking advantage of what Florida has to offer is something I totally recommend when it comes to a couples shoot. Beaches are a great place to shoot with a nice consistent background, Upham beach in St. Pete is my favorite, but there is a lot of opportunity in other places as well such as downtown Tampa, the riverwalk, theater, etc. We can also use the State Parks, Florida springs, etc. These all make great locations for a session with your partner! If you are interested in going with more of a theme than a location then we should explore that too, we could do a color theme, hobby based theme, etc!

Outfits & Styling

As far as outfits go for couples shoots I always recommend coordinating but not the same! Once we pick a location I also often recommend specific colors or outfits based on the location for example with beach shoots I usually recommend softer colors, creams, light pinks and whites with jeans, jean shorts, or kakis. & For beach shoots I always say not to worry about the shoes because they will probably come off anyways.

I always recommend bringing a pair of walking shoes for my ladies, especially if you are wearing heels. Comfort is so important because if you are in pain or hate walking to multiple spots at a location it's going to be so much less fun and I want you to have fun!!

When it comes to makeup the only things I would always recommend is throwing some powder on your t-zone even if you don't usually wear it, because we are in Florida and even if you aren't sweating the humidity can get ya and then you will end up looking oily on camera. I always bring extra powder just in case! The other thing with make up is if you are wearing a red lip or want one in some of the pictures don't put it on until you get to the shoot, bring it with you and also bring a gloss and makeup wipes just in case you decide you aren't feeling it or aren't comfortable wearing it through out the whole shoot especially since I usually ask my couples to kiss for at least a few shots.

If any other questions come up about locations, outfits, styling, etc, please feel free to message me, I am never irritated about a late night text about what dress you should wear or if I think the cream heels would look better than black ones, I PROMISE. I am here to help you and I genuinely love my job, my clients, and helping you be comfortable and confident in your photos and during the session!

Tips, tricks, & what to bring

There's always a few other things I like to make clients aware of before the shoot! I'm going to emphasize again walking shoes, I will carry them if I have to, but even if you don't think you need the sandals you non-blistered feet will thank you later.

Also bring a water bottle, and go to the restroom beforehand, I know that sounds like such a kindergarten tip, but if we are shooting in the middle of nowhere or a park I promise you are not going to want to be trying to a take a pee break in the bushes 45 minutes into the shoot, and the pee dance in your photos you may not love later on.

As far as posing goes if there is anything I suggest or a position I move you to you are uncomfortable with please do not be afraid to tell me, I promise I will not take offense. Additionally when it comes to posing if you have certain Inspiration or Pinterest photos with poses you know you really want bring the screenshots or send them over to me so I can make sure to incorporate them!
